Tini Martini Bar Wins TOP HONORS

Tini Martini Bar at the Casablanca WINS HONORS
St. Augustine, Florida (October 2008) The TINI MARTINI BAR has won ‘The Best Of’ designation for The BEST BAR in St. Augustine, awarded by the St. Augustine ‘Record’. A place to see and be seen, listen to smooth jazz, meet friends or just relax and watch the yachts and schooners on the bayfront, the award is no surprise to the fans that make it their favorite destination in America’s Oldest City.

The Casablanca Inn (circa 1914) has been well-known and awarded hospitality recognitions for decades. Owners Michael Miles and Nancy Cloud propelled the historic inn into another realm of innkeeping, bringing their vision to life when they opened the Tini Martini Bar to the public! This is the first time that the Casablanca is sharing its historical presence with patrons that are not staying overnight in one of their suites or rooms.

With inside seating for 16 and 36 more on the outdoor verandah, the Tini Martini Bar has the ambience of a fine wine and cocktail bar anywhere in the world. The dark wood floor and cool marble bar surrounded by oak and fine glassware set the scene for the Bar. “We have an extensive wine list of wines by the glass, 30+ vodkas and fine liquor for discerning clients. And if someone can dream up an exotic martini, we’ll try to make it appear within minutes” according to Miles.

Miles and Cloud are professional hoteliers with an avant-garde style that pairs their historic inn with tastefully exciting décor, luxurious amenities and distinctive art. The bar’s walls are adorned with Colombian artist Fernando Botero’s instantly recognizable colorful paintings, his exaggerated size human figures celebrating the life within them. He captures intimate moments in life – a woman bathing, a men’s card game - a family posing for a photograph, depicting plump nonchalant people in everyday scenes. They pair perfectly with the universal appeal of St.Augustine, a figurative painting style that blends Renaissance and Baroque techniques with the colonial customs of Latin America – akin to America’s oldest city in history and tradition.

“One of the 10 Great Inns of the Southeast”...Atlanta Journal Constitution. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and recognized by Conde Nast Johansens Recommended Hotels & Resorts Guide, this Mediterranean revival Inn takes guests to a heavenly place of personal service and amenities. The Casablanca Inn has been voted #1 Best B&B in St. Augustine for 7 years!
