St. Augustine, Fl (February 8, 2010) From ‘Better Homes and Gardens’ magazine and Hernando Today News to www.GlobalTrekkers.com and www.Gayot.com , travel and food writers from around the US joined publicist Leigh Cort for four days of adventure in St. Augustine. Cort, a specialist in developing media trips for her clients that include historic inns and hotels, private islands and distinctive destinations, celebrated her company’s 10th anniversary; the writers learned about romance, history and planning St. Augustine’s 450th Birthday in 2015.

St. Augustine’s romantic allure for honeymoons and weddings was the theme chosen by Cort on behalf of the five historic Inns of Elegance. Experiencing some of the unique attractions that included the Fountain of Youth and an eco boat adventure with St. Augustine Eco Tours, the writers were educated and entertained by Old Town Trolley throughout their stay. Although each print and online publication will eventually feature a unique angle of their St. Augustine trips, the group enjoyed dining together and touring the inns for a glimpse into the allure of each inn presented by the innkeepers themselves.

History in ‘the oldest city’ plays a significant role to visitors. A presentation by Dana Ste. Claire about the upcoming 450th Birthday Celebration was an important addition to the writers’ itinerary. Cort also planned an exploration of the diversity of St. Augustine restaurants…Columbia Restaurant for Spanish, O.C. White’s for local Florida seafood and Bistro de Leon for authentic French cuisine.
