Despite Shaky Economy! - Down the coast in St. Augustine is Bistro de Leon, a French cuisine restaurant in the shadow of the Bridge of Lions. It is owned by chef Jean-Stephane Poinard, who said he was drawn by the city's European style. Poinard is a fifth-generation chef whose family has owned the Hotel Restaurant de Paris in Lyon, France, since the 1960s and he has four other restaurants in that city.

Poinard's wife, Valerie, was winemaker at Domaine de la Fond-Moiroux. -
