Travel is a
cultural smorgasbord of destinations. We specialize in
media coverage for distinctive historic inns, hotels and bed
& breakfasts, and write the words that tell the story. When one of
our press releases becomes the story in a magazine or
newspapers, we know we’ve hit the bulls-eye with just the
right balance of media coverage and descriptive style. Creating
a catchy headline doesn’t happen by chance.
Media ‘calendars of events’ are always interested in our
media coverage we
develop for our inn clients, from senior, romance or
cultural promotions to planning special events that
partner with other businesses/organizations in the St.
Augustine area. We
always try to think ‘outside of the box’ and excite them
with a special twist that makes their job easier.
Feature story in
the May/June 2007 issue of Grapevine magazine about the Historic Inns of Spring
Lake.
Time
stands still in Spring Lake. The 13 Historic Inns
Spring Lakeare a distinguished collection of
Victorian Inns and Boutique Hotels (circa 1870-1888)
in a radiantly refined New Jersey seashore town. So
near to Philadelphia and Manhattan, Spring Lake is
renowned as a seaside paradise where guests enjoy
the privacy and tranquility of one of America’s
premiere resorts nicknamed the ‘Irish Riviera’ by
its pedigreed land barons.
The 7
Inns of Elegance are the most celebrated
collection of romantic bed & breakfast inns in St.
Augustine, Florida. All are in the heart of the
famed Historic District within walking distance to
shops, restaurants, galleries and the ‘magic’ of
America’s Oldest City (circa 1561). From the glories
of Imperial Spain to the Victorian Grandeur of the
19th Century, brick-paved streets still echo the
clip-clop passage of timeless history.
The Casa Marina opened its doors onto an expanse of
the Jacksonville beaches in 1924, when every
postcard of the era announced ‘World’s Finest
Beach’. It has remained a fascinating landmark of
Florida history with many forgotten moments in the
vast drama of the 1920’s. Her mystery is that she
must have seen it all. Gracefully poised on the
dunes of the Atlantic, it’s a member of National
Trust of Historic Hotels of America™.
St. Francis Inn (circa 1791), built by Senor
Gaspar Garcia in St. Augustine, is constructed of
native coquina shells with a private courtyard where
guests hide away from the bustle of the ‘ancient
city’, yet within steps of the treasures of the
City. Along with its sister inn, the Casa de Solana
(circa 1821), they are both an oasis of
Spanish/English comfort, mystery and charm. The St.
Francis Inn is a member of ‘Select Registry®, a
Distinguished Inn of North America.
One of
the most photographed boutique inns in Florida and
listed on the National Register of Historic Places,
the
Casablanca Inn is a graceful Mediterranean
revival beauty built in 1914. The sprawling verandas
and alluring Tini Martini Bar put the Casablanca
into another realm of hospitality overlooking St.
Augustine’s Bayfront and famed Bridge of Lions.
The
Inn on Charlotte, on quaint narrow
brick-paved Charlotte Street in St. Augustine,
evokes the feeling of relaxation, contentment and
Southern hospitality. Guests enjoy slowing to the
rhythm of the City, enjoying a gourmet cooking class
or late after food & wine pairing. Early morning
church bells chime their welcome to a gracious
gourmet breakfast before strolling through the lush
gardens to the adventures of each day.
Welcome
to the
Spring Lake Inn where European-style
hospitality, history and contemporary amenities
blend into an unforgettable experience. The Inn is
unpretentious yet elegant – warm and inviting yet
offering privacy when guests need time & space to
unwind. Built in 1888 as the Grand Central Stables
of Spring Lake, the Inn is only a block to the ocean
and private 2-mile boardwalk. From sumptuous
breakfasts served in the grand dining room to
afternoon tea, the 80 ft. Victorian porch is
irresistibly alluring. Each of the 16 large
guestrooms and suites feature fireplaces, 4-poster
beds, sleigh beds, Jacuzzis, refrigerators and
digital cable TV. Fine dining, boutique shopping and
spa pampering are only blocks away. Spring Lake is
one of America’s most refined seashore towns where
time stands still for just a moment at this
distinctive ‘European Mansion by the Sea’.
Casa de Solana
(circa 1821) – From the Minorcan Suite to the Segui
Room, there’s an air of Spanish and British Colonial
mystery and charm at the Casa de Solana. When you
come into the walled courtyard on ancient
brick-paved Aviles Street in St. Augustine, Florida,
you’ve entered an oasis of comfort. Each of the 10
rooms and suites are spacious and authentically
connected to the city’s Minorcan history. The Inn is
a distinctive landmark that prides itself on warm
hospitality, relaxed elegance and homemade
breakfast, one of the oldest residences with
luxurious contemporary amenities. Nearly a block of
tranquil gardens surrounding the Inn are located on
Aviles Street, which was known as Hospital Street
during the British occupation; the home was built by
Don Manuel Solana, a native to St. Augustine born in
1740. The original part of the house was constructed
between 1803-1821 and is recorded in the Historical
Houses of America listing in the Library of
Congress.

received on our own."
