Former Record food editor to appear on Spring Lake Authors and Inns Tour -

Former Record food editor Patricia Mack is one of the featured authors on the third annual Authors and Inns Tour hosted by The Historic Inns of Spring Lake on May 16 and 17. Mack is the author of three cookbooks, The 15-Minute Chef, Tomatoes and Corn. A fourth, The Famous Florida Grapefruit Cookbook will be released next fall.

Mack, who served as The Record’s food editor for more than 20 years, will be signing copies of Tomatoes on May 17 at The Normandy Inn. The self-guided tour of 11 inns and book signings with Mack and 10 other chefs/authors runs from 1-5 p.m. Tickets are $15 and tour attendees receive a keepsake tote bag. For tickets, call the Spring Lake Chamber of Commerce at (732) 449-0577.

On Saturday, Mack will participate in an afternoon of culinary demos, which are for weekend inn guests only. She will prepare a tomato trio: cherry tomatoes with basil and garlic; Tomatoes Margarita and Tomato Devils. Weekend inn guests also receive complimentary tickets to the Sunday tour.
